Local McDonald's Owner-Operator Stephen Blackwood dropped the puck at the start of the game, and he and the McDonald's Hamburglar handed out hundreds of Be Our Guest cards to fans. America’s Best First Job: Meet Jennifer Browning, a general manager at the McDonald’s restaurant on Owen Rd. in Fenton, Michigan. She’s worked at McDonald’s for 27 years and was recently honored with the prestigious Ray Kroc Award for excellence. The award is given to the top one percent of McDonald's general managers. She’s worked at McDonald’s since she was a teenager and is now a mentor to younger employees. “I enjoy teenagers that come in and are scared to work, because we make it fun for them, teach them and show them. I’ve had a lot of people work for me that today are now grown adults—they’ve gone off to college and have been successful and I was their first employer.”
